The Heart of Our Village Pub
A proper village pub with deep local roots. Located at 35 Codnor-Denby Lane, our pub proudly carries centuries of local history. We are named after Walter Butler, the Marquis of Ormonde, whose family held extensive land and mining estates across Codnor, Loscoe, and Heanor in the early 19th century. While those historic estates were eventually sold in the 1820s, the Marquis name remains a vital part of our community's heritage. Today, we continue that legacy by serving as a true neighbourhood hub—bringing people together over great food, quality drinks, and genuine Derbyshire hospitality
